If you are before the court for a drink driving offence it is possible that you can apply for a Work Licence (also known as a Restricted Licence or a section 87 Order Licence).
If your reading is under 0.15 and you have not had a drink drive (or other serious driving offence- or been disqualified) in the last five years – you may be eligible to apply. You need to be able to establish to the court that you are a ” fit and proper person” AND that you or your family will suffer extreme hardship if you cannot drive. This evidence is normally presented to the court by way of Affidavit evidence.
